“Hemispheric Synchronization, a potential and generally desired result of brainwave entrainment, refers to a state when the brainwave pattern of the right and left hemispheres become alike. A person with similar activity in both hemispheres is alleged to be happier, more optimistic, more emotionally stable and less prone to mental illness. Increased levels of synchronization are found naturally in people who meditate regularly and people who are very content with their lives in general.” (Source: wikipedia.org)

One of the most useful and easiest methods for the entrainment of your brain waves is with biofeedback: The Audio Visual Entrainment Device.

We have found that when a person is using biofeedback devices such as the AVE Device at home every day and, more importantly, right before BrainCore sessions, it helps to relax their brain so that the neurofeedback sessions are more powerful.

The Audio Visual Entrainment Device (or AVE Device) operates on the principal of synchronization.

One of the best known examples of synchronization is experimenting with tuning forks. By hitting a tuning fork, you are causing its tines to vibrate back and forth several hundred times per second. The way a tuning fork’s vibrations interact with the surrounding air is what causes sound to form. When a turning fork vibrates in a room with other tuning forks, only the tuning forks that match the same tone’s frequency will vibrate.

Likewise, when we determine what frequency of entrainment the brain needs after doing the brain mapping evaluation, we are able to set the audio visual device to that specific frequency. Through special glasses that you wear, lights will flash at a certain frequency and headphones, which contain binaural beats, send this vibrating information to the brain by way of the optic nerves and the auditory nerves. Brainwave entrainment may be achieved when audio signals are introduced to the brain, thus causing a response directly related to the frequency of the signal introduced. These are called binaural beats.

Neurofeedback is the main pillar of BrainCore Therapy. We also offer adjunctive therapies which have shown to help the overall process. The AVE device is one of these proven components.
